The MSK and APA collaborated to establish the Advertising Standards Body of Kenya. Our goal is to implement clear advertising principles to the Kenyan market, empowering the industry to effectively self-regulate and safeguard public interest.

An industry-led approach, through agreed-upon standards like our Code of Advertising Practice, allows for effective and timely responses to maintain ethical advertising, benefiting both consumers and businesses.

How We Work

The Code of Advertising Practice:
This is our cornerstone document, guiding all advertising in Kenya. It outlines ethical standards for all media, covering moral issues and complaint procedures.

The Advertising Standards Board (ASB):
The ASB oversees advertising self-regulation in Kenya. Our board members consist of the following leading industry professionals:
